Fundacion Pa Nos Muchanan

FPNM was established on June 12, 1991 and is guided by the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Rights of the Child proclaimed by the United Nations.

Objective

To improve the quality of the care, guidance, and education of children age 0-12 years by supporting educators and providing information about education to the public in general.

Educators

Educators are parents, relatives, leaders of childcare centers and other persons who are involved in the education of children.

The work of FPNM is preventative by nature, meaning that the purpose of the attention and information given is to prevent as much as possible that problems arise in the education of the child.

FPNM offers

- Advice and guidance to childcare centers.

- Seminars, workshops, courses, and training for leaders of childcare centers.

- Information and guidance to persons who wish to establish a new child center.

- Documentation center with i.a. books, magazines, leaflets, posters, DVDs.

- Advice to parents when they have questions or concerns about the education of their children.

- Seminars, workshops, training, courses, and speeches for parents.

- Provision of lists, i.a. related to afterschool activities for children, homework guidance/extra lessons, and child centers.

- Weekly publication in the media of articles on educational topics.

Financial

FPNM receives a subsidy from the Government of Aruba to cover the salaries and the office operating expenses. To carry out projects and activities relating to the educational programs, we depend on donations. We are very grateful to all persons and agencies that have given us the support necessary to work on our educational objectives.
